Tarrant County AFL-CIO endorses Lydia Bean

ARLINGTON, TX - Today, small business owner and Democratic candidate in Texas’ 6th Congressional District Lydia Bean was endorsed by the Tarrant County Central Labor Council AFL-CIO. Representing over 35,000 members and 45 locals, the Tarrant County Central Labor Council is a powerful force in North Texas for working families.

“Unions are the backbone of the middle class and I am honored to have the support of the Tarrant County AFL-CIO,” said Bean. “From fighting for safe working conditions to providing world-class job training programs, the locals of the Tarrant County Central Labor Council are fighting for working families. I am proud to stand with the AFL-CIO as we continue to secure good wages and working conditions for North Texans.”

“Tarrant County Central Labor Council AFL-CIO is proud to stand beside Lydia Bean and her campaign for TX-06,” said Angi Defelippo, Political Director of Tarrant County CLC. “Bean has proven to stand with working families and to be a friend of Labor.”

Lydia Bean is a new mother, small business owner, and community leader who has worked across partisan lines and brought people together to make real change. As the daughter of a teacher and a pastor, Lydia’s parents taught her to stand up for what she believes in. Lydia put that lesson to work when she founded Faith in Texas, a nonprofit organization that brings faith communities together to work toward change in their schools, cities, and state.
